The Midnite Xpress has been created utilizing Switchmusic's Exclusive Patented Vibracell Technology. Vibracell is one of today's most advanced technologies and allows Switch Vibracell instruments to deliver superior sonic quality and extreme sustain. The Midnite Xpress features a 20-1/4 in. scale Ebonite fingerboard. The Ebonite fingerboard is so lightning fast and smooth you feel like you are playing on glass. Grover tuning machines along with a tune-o-matic bridge and stop tailpiece allow the Midnight Xpress to be tuned to full concert pitch (never a need to tune up for string tension). For live performance the Midnite Xpress has been fitted with an extremely high quality proprietary Red Hot Ceramic humbucking pickup. The pickup is controlled with a single volume and tone control and features a coil tap switch allowing the pickup to operate as a single-coil for complete sonic versatility.
The Midnite Xpress' carved top body features a built-in professional headphone amp with volume control for silent play. The player has a choice of a clean or rocking overdrive setting via a select switch. Two AAA batteries power the headphone amp for hours of operation. The headphone amp can be operated simultaneously with the instrument plugged into an amplifier.
