Based on the Stanton Best Selling Favorite, the T.60, the T.62 is an easy to operate, direct drive turntable perfect for DJs of any style or experience level. The T.62 features a powerful motor with strong torque and a straight tone arm, which provides superior tracking capability for scratch DJs. The T.62 also comes equipped with the legendary Stanton 500.v3 cartridge and a high quality slipmat for added control... offering the perfect set-up for optimum performance.

Sound: I use this for home listening, not DJing. Sounds good with an OK amp (onkyo) and decent speakers (infinity bookshelf). I am totally satisfied for the price...but this is my first and only decent turntable. Feature: Target light is surprisingly useful for home use. No arm-lifter, but of course DJ decks don't have those. Not a big deal. Mat is felt--OK for DJs, but I think I will try an acrylic one. Phono output cables (included) are not hardwired to the unit, which is a step up from most entry-level home decks. Includes a nice cloth dust cover (but no hard cover) Cartridge/stylus included Ease of Use: Very easy to set up and use. All parts included and instructions are clear. I was listening to records less than half an hour after opening the box. Quality: heavy and rock solid. body is plastic, but heavy-duty. platter and arm are sturdy metal. for home use this will last forever. Value: seems worth it. I looked for home TTs in this price range; there's not much-- flimsy ones for $99, then the price jumps to $250. I bought a warehouse resealed unit at a discount--looks perfect. The Wow Factor: Looks totally cool Overall: i think it will last forever. but if i catch the high fidelity bug i will need to upgrade all my equipment, not just this TT

Overall: Nice, loud, and crisp. I'm thinkin' Stanton from here on out. I switched from another that was good, but it didn't have the features this one has. I love the fact that the pitch adjust lights up when the lever has brought the record back to its original pitch. It's a direct drive for DJ's to scratch and cut. So it's definitely durable.
