If you are a beginner or even an experienced bassist with a desire for a Good starter bass with a great alder body for upgrading look no further. The weight of this bass is perfect, good neck, good frets. Get some good pickups such as Fender Original Jazz/AVRI in it, add a orange cap, a switchcraft jack, maybe even throw on covers and a thumbrest and before you know it you're holding a '64 jazz for less money than you could even understand. Stop Dreaming and Start Modding. This thing is Bad!
Sound
It sounds good but the stock ceramic pickups need to go. Classic Fender Original Jazz Pickups/AVRI really bring out the flavor in this bass.
Features
Upgraded tuners are smooth and flawless Neck is unbelieveably good almost thinking they are leftovers from US or Mexico and sent to China must be dreaming but they are much improved
Ease of Use
Easy Peasy
Quality
Great. Much better quality than early 2000 year Squiers. Mine in particular has held up for 3 years and doesn't even knock out every 6 months. No, this bass stays in tune year round with no seasonal fluctuating on the neck. ( I do set them up twice a year out of habit, but this one does not require it)
Value
Unbelievable Value Upgraded, If this had Fender written on the headstock No One Would Know The Difference.
Manufacturer Support
Never needed it
The Wow Factor
It's the Classic Fender Jazz Bass platform. Everything one needs to make a great bass with a starting platform is in the box
