The SM137 has a frequency response that combines the best of both worlds, a smooth high-end and a tightly controlled low-end. Made using an ultra-thin diaphragm, this mic is what is needed when picking up the subtle nuances of an instrument. Providing a 15db pad Shure's SM137 has natural sound reproduction for quiet acoustic and high volume applications.

Road worthy, don't forget to take this mike on tour. Made with rugged nearly indestructable chassis', Shure's SM series of mics were built to take the punishment of night-after-night gigging.

Sound: Just what one would exepct from Shure Feature: Just what I needed for use with my banjo...off insgtrument. No muss no fuss. Ease of Use: Plug and Play...Oh!..wait a moment...make sure you have "Pantom Power" available. I missed that in the specs. and my PA does not have it. It is over a year old. However, I have a "Phantom Power" module that I can use so I did not have to purchase a new PA...yet! Quality: It's Shure. Need I say more. Just got it and haven't dropped it yet. Value: It's Shure!...This is getting repetitious Manufacturer Support: Haven't needed it for any of my 6 other mics. The Wow Factor: "Slim, Fast, Efficient, and makes the High and Low Notes Soar!!! Overall: I'd have given it a "10" , but I just met her.
