Shubb C1 Original Capo for Steel-String Acoustic Guitar or Electric Guitar (Nickel)

The original! Shubb's nickel capo locks firmly into place -- and prevents string bending and detuning with a rubber coating that performs like a fingertip.

Since 1980 the Shubb capo has set the standard against which all others must be measured. It is the first choice ... often the only choice... of more than a million musicians worldwide. Once the serious guitarist has discovered the Shubb, he'll never settle for anything less.

What makes the Shubb capo so special? For one thing, its ingenious design: a patented locking action, which provides an unrivalled combination of power, speed, accuracy and ease of use. One smooth flip of the lever locks it securely in place... and removes it just as quickly.

And the Shubb capo doesn't create tuning problems. Its soft, resilient rubber is specially designed to work just like a fingertip, so it doesn't bend the strings over the frets. Its closing action is just like your hand, so it doesn't pull the string off center. As a result, no re-tuning is necessary!

Precisely machined of brass and carefully hand assembled, a Shubb capo is manufactured without compromise. Simply holding one in your hand conveys a sense of quality. Snapping it solidly onto a guitar neck, and then removing it, all within about one second, will confirm its reputation for excellence.

The Original Shubb Capo ("C" series) is made of brass and nickel-plated.

"Could be the best capo ever.."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

Probably will last me forever, considering I can get replacement rubber for it. If lost or stolen I would replace right away
Sound
I think what this capo does probably better than any of the others is that it keeps the guitar in tune and doesn't compromise the tone.
Features
The best feature of it is you can set the pressure of it to your liking and then use it again and again without adjusting. Kind of set it and forget it.
Ease of Use
Extremely easy to use, if you need help using it you seriously need help..
Quality
Top notch quality, great material. I hear when the rubber finally does wear down you can get replacement rubber from the company. That speaks volumes for the longevity of the product.
Value
I think it's not the most expensive and not the least expensive but it's as good as the more expensive ones.
Manufacturer Support
Haven't dealt with them personally, so I can't attest.
The Wow Factor
Simplistic but attractive design - kudos to the inventor!
