Extremely popular with live sound recording engineers and hi-fi enthusiasts alike: the HD 250 Linear II are closed-back headphones with the feel of open design.

About Sennheiser
Sennheiser engineers are renowned for their striving to create the very best technical solution. In 1987 their efforts were rewarded, Sennheiser received the "Technical Oscar," the Scientific and Engineering Award of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, for their MKH 816 "shotgun" directional microphone.

In 1996, Sennheiser electronic was presented with a second international award: The American Academy of Television Arts and Sciences honoured Sennheiser with the Emmy in recognition of the company's pioneering advances in the field of wireless microphones and radio frequency technology.

The specialist press around the world regularly praise Sennheiser headphones for their outstanding sound quality, comfort, workmanship and design. But readers of some magazines also have a say: the readers of Europe's biggest hi-fi magazine, "Audio" have (for the third time in a row) voted a Sennheiser as headphone of the year and honored it with the "Golden Ear Award." In 1994, this prize was given to the HE 60/HEV 70 electrostatic headphone/amplifier combination, in 1995 to the HD 565 Ovation dynamic headphone and in 1996 to the HD 475 dynamic headphone.

Sennheiser has always imposed the most stringent quality controls for its quality products -- so certification according to ISO 9001, the internationally recognized quality assurance system, was no problem. Independent institutions audited and supervised company quality according to strict criteria including product development, purchase of raw materials, production technology, through to delivery and customer service. You can be sure to get reliable high quality products, plus Sennheiser know-how and experience.

Sennheiser HD250II Studio Monitor Sealed Headphone Reviews

"the best damn set of headphones i have ever used."
Feature:
stronger connectors holding the earpeices on more firmly, and a stronger or thicker cable to compliment the strong/rugged design.

Quality:
possibly a stronger plastic needs to be used, so that the ear peice wouldnt snap off so easily, risking the thin wire running inside the earpeice of being damaged. a thicker cable. being a live sound engineer, one needs to take into account the moving around all the time, packing and unpacking, different venues,weathers,etc...

Desirability:
its one of the older sets, so perhaps a face lift on the design is in order, right now, its just part of the set-up, however, the quality it delivers makes me overlook the design, and make it my first and only option when hiring gear.

Sound:
being involved in many live sound recordings, and controlled studio orchestral recordings, it is imperative to be able to monitor with the most true sounding headphones one can find. the sound quality that your headphones deliver ultimately depict what your final mix is going to sound like. engineers frequently rely on their headphones, in live peformences as well as for playback purposes when recording in "controlled environments outside of the stuaio." i did a comparitive test during one recording session. i had my sennheisser headphones, a set of Fostex, and a pair of AKG's and there was without a doubt a huge difference in the quality of audio, being sent back to the cans, i am a session vocalist, and have worked in many studios, and used many different brands/models of headphones...andin my opinion, the sennheisser HD250 headphones are the most realistic and true sounding headphones i have ever used. no other headphone comes close to it. the best thing besides listening to someting with your bare ears, is using the sennheisser HD250. great product!!!

Support:
i bought my headphones, and mic from a retailer. didnt directly deal wiht the sennheisser agents.
