"A great pickup for that classic sound."

Desirability:
This pickup gives my guitar a whole new feel and I just love it. Wow!

Sound:
This is the sound. Sound of this through my JCM2000 DSL50 is everything a person wants in a rock tone. Responds to guitar volume, pick attack and sustains forever. Nice feed back too. Not screechie at all. Warm yet good high/low frequency response with a good edge. I replaced a Pearly Gates with this and got rid of the overly mid sound of that one. Now I have a much more versitle and usable tone. I highly recomend this one. There is no coil tap or split feature, but it doesn't need it.

Overall:
I am going to hang on to this one. I don't think I will use another humbucker. This complements my other Strat with Kinman classics when I need a fatter sound. I don't have to tweek the amp when I change guitars on stage. I can't find anything I don't like about these pickups.

"The 59'er is a true winner"

Feature:
As all Seymour Duncan products, the quality was excellent.

Value:
You get what you pay for. As a consumer, obviously we would all like it cheaper. But, it is definitely worth the money.

Sound:
This is a great pickup for a utilitarian type of guitar. If you are looking for that vintage Les Paul sound, this will definitely get you there. It has excellent warmth and sustain, but plenty of attack to allow you to cut through.

Support:
Frankly, I've never needed their technical support. Their installation drawings are right on the money.

About This Product!
Description
Multimedia
The most important thing about the vintage Patent Applied For pickup was its warm, smooth tone and sustain that was unlike anything heard before. The SH-1 is built with the same kind of enameled wire, nickel-plated studs, and balanced coil windings that humbucker inventor Seth Lover used in his first pickups. It looks and sounds just like a '59.
