"Its a schecter, of course it rocks!"
Im metal... we like the whole v thing. everyone has a favorite V. This is my V. completely satisified. this would not be a studio guitar, but an exellent live one, wich is exactly what i plan on doing with it.
Sound
There emghz's! come on! i have to admit i usually stick to just the neck pick up on most guitars... but this happens to have an amazing tone on all switch settings. pinch harmonics are cake. just a smidge scratchy when you go on the upper registers if your not in great tuning.
Features
For a shecter its very light. i gave it a nine only because i think it feels a little weak for touring. gover tuners, floyd licened or tune-o-matic, emghz, beautiful craftsman ship... when it comes to metal, this is one of the best guitars in the price range. I recommend this as THE perfect backup guitar. i own a hellraiser also
Ease of Use
I go with a perfect 10 simply because this is the first v where the neck doesnt sink on me when i let go... thats so important. the less pressure you have on your hand when playing the faster you move. the weight and feel is excellent.
Quality
Now i just bought it yesterday, but there just this feeling of weakness to it. i think its how light the basswood is. im a huge schecter fan... when you pick a shecter up, its dead solid. you feel like you can use it to hammer railroad spikes. this doesnt. Im not saying its weak, maybe… read more im just not use to it yet.
Value
Shecter is the best your ever going to get for your money... minus some of there pickups on certain guitars, but everything else about all there guitars is 110%
Manufacturer Support
Schecter doesnt sell replacement parts, 99% percent of there stuff is dealt through licenced dealer. but other then that, there are no complaints. great warranty by the way. check out there custom shop as well.
The Wow Factor
This is a love it or hate it guitar. either way it leaves an impression. its super striking. the satin black means no huge fingerprints! the flat black emgs just give it an even more fitting look. i wasnt crazy about this guitar when i saw the pictures on line, but its breathtaking in person.
