Offering seriously menacing tone and sustain far beyond anything in its price range, Schecter's left-handed Damien Elite Avenger provides the elite stylings of a mahogany body, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. Producing an incredible, warm tone that is very beefy and has great clarity, the Damien Elite Avenger Lefty utilizes EMG Active 81/85 humbuckers to cut through any mix.

Grover Rotomatics Tuners

The original Rotomatic with an improved higher ratio gearing. The 18:1 ratio provides for finer tuning and greater stability. The finer gears provide smoother tuning and a higher degree of backlash elimination.

Rosewood Fingerboard

The most common fretboard, Rosewood is naturally oily, and works well for any surface that sees frequent human contact. The sound is richer in fundamental than Maple because the stray overtones are absorbed into the oily pores.

EMG Active 81/85 Pickups

One of the most popular EMG's the 81 is the one that started a revolution. Utilizing powerful ceramic magnets and close aperture coils, the tone was designed with detailed intensity, incredible amounts of high end cut and fluid sustain. Traditionally used in the bridge position, this pickup will make your leads slice right through even the densest mix. When used in both neck and bridge positions the sound can only be described as blistering. Recommended pairings include the classic 81/85 setup. zZounds is an authorized dealer of Schecter products.

Sound: The sound by default with volume and tone at 10 is all out hard rock and heavy metal and will easily overdrive a good amp but by cutting back on the tone and or volume this guitar can sound excellent with any genre of music...A heavy metal beast that can adapt to what you need when you need it.. Feature: This guitar is a tank it is full featured and has everything i want and nothing i dont.. Ease of Use: This guitar is very playable out of the box, the neck is just right its not to fat and not to thin all the way up the fretboard, very comfortable for chording and shredding..I like super low action and had no problem getting insanely low action without fret buzz, i cant say enough good things about the bolt on neck of this guitar.. Quality: Superb quality instrument upon inspection it was flawless, no noticeable blemishes to the body, neck, binding or bling and it was set up fairly well at the factory needing only a slight tuning of the strings to be ready to rock..The see thru black is beautiful on the quilted maple top and the grover tuners are nice and seal the deal.. Value: I own several other brands of guitars in this exact price range and none of them can even come close to the overall quality/value of this beast..It feels weird putting a value on this guitar as it seriously feels, looks and plays better than many $1000 plus guitars.. Manufacturer Support: Have not had to deal with the company.. The Wow Factor: This guitar has a great shape, holds a tune very well even while being played extremely hard, looks great and is built like a tank for the road..Schecter imho makes the best lefty guitars available and If something happened to it i would get another one from zzounds without thinking twice.. Overall: As a left handed guitarist with over 35 years of playing experience and a large arsenal of lefty axes both good and bad i can say with the greatest of ease and with no hesitation that the schecter damien elite avenger with its 81/85 emg pickup combo is an absolute beast for heavy metal but also sounds good for vintage rock and blues as well..There was no need for a string change just a tune up and as always i checked the neck and frets with my straightedge and this neck has absolutely perfect relief right out of the box and the frets are all even and very well finished, which blew me away for a lefty guitar in this price range..The neck is fast and feels very comfortable in my hand and the abolone inlays are beautiful and laid in perfectly..A very versatile guitar that is as beautiful as it is feature rich, and in my honest opinion the overall quality of this guitar is untouchable in its price range..
