The Schecter Damien Elite Avenger FR Electric Guitar has a professional feel and sound at an unbelievable price. Featuring EMG Active 81/85 humbuckers which produce huge tone with beefy and defined low end and searing highs to cut through the mix, Floyd Rose Special tremolo for smooth and stable whammy work, and superb construction you'd expect from Schecter.

Grover Rotomatics Tuners

The original Rotomatic with an improved higher ratio gearing. The 18:1 ratio provides for finer tuning and greater stability. The finer gears provide smoother tuning and a higher degree of backlash elimination.

Rosewood Fingerboard

The most common fretboard, Rosewood is naturally oily, and works well for any surface that sees frequent human contact. The sound is richer in fundamental than Maple because the stray overtones are absorbed into the oily pores.

EMG Active 81/85 Pickups

One of the most popular EMG's the 81 is the one that started a revolution. Utilizing powerful ceramic magnets and close aperture coils, the tone was designed with detailed intensity, incredible amounts of high end cut and fluid sustain. Traditionally used in the bridge position, this pickup will make your leads slice right through even the densest mix. When used in both neck and bridge positions the sound can only be described as blistering. Recommended pairings include the classic 81/85 setup. zZounds is an authorized dealer of Schecter products.

Sound: Active EMG 81/85 pair OWNS! Smooth, transitional whammy work, and the leads cut through the most metal of licks. Feature: It would be a 10, but I think a seperate volume and tone knob OR push/pull knob for the neck pick up would be nice. Slightly limited tone control. Great for the price though. Ease of Use: Seriously, if you suck at guitar, this is not the guitar for you. It's actually taken me a few days to get comfortable playing this bad boy. Quality: Schecter make some of the highest quality guitars in the world. This is no exception. Value: 579, really? Comparable guitars go for 699+! Manufacturer Support: I have not dealt with Schecter, but zZounds is the best! The Wow Factor: It is an extraordinarily beautiful looking and sounding guitar. I wish they would release it in see thru red like they have on the Damien Elite FR. Overall: I will own this my entire life. Being a guitar enthusiast, I'd say it will be about 2-3 years before I buy another. Unless a great deal comes around. (with zZounds, this is quite frequent.)
