Schecter C-7 Standard 7-String Electric Guitar

No longer available at zZounds
Add a 7th string for more thorough riffing and soloing. If 7 strings weren't enough, this guitar features 24 frets on an Ebony fingerboard to lengthen the playing field.

The C7 Standard electric guitar from Schecter offers 7 strings of guitar mayhem with its double-cutaway mahogany body design and 3-piece set maple neck. The Ultra Access neck joint provides that extra access to all the frets and the TonePros bridge system offers a 7-string Tune-O-Matic style bridge with thru-body design offering added sustain and tuning stability. The Duncan designed Active HB-7 humbucking pickups with coil tapping provide an extended tonal range to accommodate the lower notes on a 7 string guitar.

All across the board this is a good guitar. It is very stripped down on features but there isn't anything that is bad. The neck is a little chunky but it's fast enough so that you can solo and if you're just starting out on a 7 string; the neck is great for cutting your teeth on. The pickups are a little weak but aren't so bad that you can't use them while you ponder an upgrade. Unless you're want to mod the body you're limited to what pickups you can use; EMG's are too big, the Seymour Duncan Blackouts (phase 1) fit no problem if you want actives and I really like BareKnuckle's if you're looking for passive. Other than that there's really nothing that needs mentioning, I personally hate floyd rose's on a 7 string and I love the string through set up they have on this guitar.
