The parts of this guitar are good. Pickups need an upgrade. Shecter should have put better pickups in to begin with. I had alot of noise thru my Engl. The string action was out by a long shot. I could not get it low enough without fret buzz. The issue was that the nut was set too low in the neck. This should have been caught and corrected at the factory.
Sound
Pickups are weak. They should put better quality pickups in considering the price point for this guitar
Features
The woods, fret wire, tuners, and finish are top notch. The pickups are the least useful.
Ease of Use
The guitar I recieved may have been a lemon. It was not playable to me. The strings needed to be adjusted high to avoid fret buzz.
Quality
The guitar was put together well. Like I said, mine may have been a lemon that somehow got through there QC department.
Value
The selling price seems a little steep for what you get. ( 2049.00) Price should be in the 1300.00 to 1600.00 price range.
Manufacturer Support
I contacted zzounds and returned the guitar.
The Wow Factor
The guitar appealed to me, that is why I ordered it. You have a 50/50 shot of getting a guitar that you are happy with when you buy online without trying it out first. All you have to go on are Utube vids and blogs on the internet.
