Samson Resolv 80a Active Reference Monitors
What is the difference between a good pair of hi-fi speakers and true studio monitors? Two things. First, hi-fi home speakers exaggerate the lows (and often the highs) to create maximum 'impact'. This can be fun to listen to but it's seldom accurate. Studio monitors are very accurate to insure a real reproduction of what is actually being recorded. And second, monitors must be very transparent sounding. This allows you to effectively mix parts of the music like vocals, bass, and even reverb trails without each part colliding with another. Well, you have just described the sound of the new Samson Resolve Series Studio Monitors. The Resolv80A is a powered studio monitor with an 8 in. woofer and a 1 in. Titanium tweeter. It's bi-amp powered by 100 watts of power (75W for the lows, 25W for the highs), and A/V shielded. Features include a variable midrange control, automatic standby mode, 1/4 in. TRS balanced and RCA unbalanced inputs.

Ideal for mid- to large-sized control rooms where high volume and serious bass response are required.

Samson Resolv 80A Monitor Customer Review

Sound: Perfect in the low en mid range. Sometimes the high end gets a bit mixed up with the mid-range if I compare them to my B&W's. But, for this price it's a great system. Wouldn't recommend any other active monitors for these prices. If you can get your hands on a pair it's not a bad buy! Ease of Use: works fine. Quality: It seems that they will last a long time.

"samson resolve 80a look and sound great"

Sound: these speakers are good for producing/listing. No distortion what so ever, even at very high volume levels! The whole spectrum is audioble even when you set the volume level really low. Try that with ordinary speakers and al you hear are the higher sounds. But not with these. Good bass-response on all volume levels. Very flat frequency karakteristics. Feature: The look says it all... Great and strong! And that's just how they sound too. Quality: made real though ! black finish.. looks really cool. Value: worth it?.. it's beautyfull! Manufacturer Support: none needed so far :D The Wow Factor: looks are great Overall: for me, these are for the next hundred years :)
