"PARAGON VS HH RAW BELL DRY RIDE"

Sound:
GREAT AS A PRIMARY CYMBAL FOR GOOD CLEAN SOUND. PROJECTS WELL WITH MINIMAL OVERTONES. CAN TAKE A HUGE BEATING W/O WASHING OUT. LACKS CHARACTER FOR A "JAZZY" SITUATION. SIMILAR SOUND FOR CHEAPER $$ IS A ZILDJIAN A CUSTOM PING RIDE (PARAGON SOUNDS SLIGHTLY BETTER). DEFINATELY CONSIDER SABIAN HH RAW BELL DRY RIDE --- HUGE BELL IS FUN AND DRY STICKING SOUNDS GREAT. TO DO AGAIN, WOULD GO HH RBDR ALL OF THE WAY. CYA

"clean sound"

Sound:
side by side vs zildjian at the local store , this sounded great! wish they had a smaller 20". nice ping , not much overtones , it won't over power others in the band when they do solo etc. i think its great from jazz-r/b-funk-rock , but a very controlled sound.

Ease of Use:
wish it came in 20"

Sabian is pleased to announce the introduction of Paragon, a new range of signature cymbals created in collaboration with Neil Peart, drummer with legendary rockers Rush. Handcrafted from pure SABIAN B20 bronze, Paragon offers subtle looks and powerful sounds. Created using automatic AA-style hammering and an innovative mix of sound-defining features from three SABIAN series, AA, AAX, and Hand Hammered, Paragon defines a new, closer relationship between power and musicality in cymbals that are dynamically responsive, highly durable, and effective in a wide range of applications. The Natural Finish look of these cymbals is enhanced with logo stamping in a subtle Rich Gold ink that is unique to cymbal making.
