"Sabian B8 14" Hihats Review"

Overall: 3 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
For the amount you pay, the best hihats on the market. Better than any Zildjian or Paiste equivilants, such as Zildjian ZBTs or Paiste PST3s. Recommended to anyone who doesn't have the money to go for a higher price range, and they wouldnt be disappointed in these.
Sound
Closed sound - played with stick - is good, very responsive. Foot sound is OK, nothing to great, but doesnt sound terrible. As you open the hats, when playing with sticks, they start to sound tinny sounding, but for the price you can expect this. Would suit pop/rock music.

Ease of Use
When you start playing open/closed grooves, it can be difficult to get a good sound out of them. However, closed, they suit most cymbal setups.
Quality
They look different to most pictures shown by Sabian. Good quality however, very well made, strong - have no structural damage at all.
