"Best Overdrive I've used!"

Feature:
features that are for the vintage and tone-minded. NOt for the shred heads that just want fuzzy distortion. Tone gurus....you guys better sit up and listen to this pedal.

Quality:
Built like a Sherman Tank!

Value:
cheap as dirt and great tone!

Desirability:
kinda funny looking gold color but ya know it has to match the name cuz you cant have an Austin Gold pedal and it be purple or something :)

Sound:
i play a gibson sg standard through a Mesa Boogie Mark 1 combo and this pedal is awesome. I run it with the drive set wide open and it gives me a Peter Frampton tone that you have to hear to believe. I love the transparent nature and bite of this pedal yet it is really smooth and full. This thing kicks any Ibanez Tubescreamer out the door and for HALF THE PRICE! Thanks Rocktron for an awesome pedal!

Overall:
chunk the rack system get a good tube amp, an Austin Gold, and kick tone out for miles!

Within the eye-popping gold case is a superb blend of light overdrive that enhances, without changing, the sound of your favorite amp.

Unique to the Austin Gold is its "Pre-Bass" control. Other typical overdrive pedals have a fixed value that cannot be altered. But the Austin's Pre-Bass control eliminates problems with too much "fuzzy" bass, or the opposite problem of being a weak and thin sounding overdrive.

With the Pre-Bass control, many overdrive textures can be exploited. It's almost like having an entire arsenal of various overdrive pedals in one, by simply adjusting one control!

With its simple control layout of "Drive," "Pre-Bass," and "Level," the Austin Gold is very simple to use. By adding a maximum of 30dB of gain, it will not overprocess, but instead will add an entirely new dimension to your amp setup!
