"A Must Have for Intermed. and Advanced Drummers!"

This kit is amazing! 1200 fantastic sounds, great feel, supereasy to use, and I can play all night long and not bother anyone!! The high hat does take some getting used to, but after some practice, it's really great. Sounds range from ultra realistic to just fun cartoon effects. super selections of wood and metal shell material (ever wanted to a/b copper, brass, steel shelled snares? with this you can), rooms (chek out the rokcncrt preset! arena PA! and the lofi stuff is really cool too)to drum machine sounds, world perc, just amazing...

Built in accompaniment features are excellent and very inspirational! Never really worked on soloing until I got this kit and the '1ManBand' preset, now I slay like Weckl!!

You can plug your CD player in and play along! You can send signal out to a V-Studio and play and record silently with your band! A must have for intermediate and advanced drummers! Beginners should learn on real drums (you gotta build the skills and establish good high hat technique - and the feel of these pads is nothing like a real high hat - although the sounds are), but then buy these after a couple years!

I can't say enough about this kit. Excellent choice over the DW kit I was going to get. Less expensive, and I can use it more often in more situations!

"Pro sounds and features"

The acoustic drum sounds are extremely realistic...better than a lot of real drums that I've heard. The pads respond to your dynamics...hit soft or hard, the pads respond similarly to real drums, not just in volume but also in tone and resonance. Impressive. The cymbals are dual trigger so you can have a ride and bell sound one one pad and two different crashes on another pad. There are dozens of different snares, kicks and tom-toms to choose from as well as crashes, rides and other cymbals. I'm not into the sound effects or ethnic percussion, so I can't really comment on that. I like basic acoustic drum sounds...and the V Club sounds are extremely realistic and the "playing feel" is similar to that of acoustic drums as well. The hi-hat controller, in particular, is very accurate in the way you can manipulate the sound of the hi-hat pad. Overall, this is an excellent kit and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it to anyone, regardless of style. Also, when you consider that an acoustic kit has to be mic'd, compressed and put through different sound processors like gates, expanders, compressors, and other outboard gear, you relaize the V Club is an excellent buy...and you don't have the volume concerns you may have if you live in an apartment or record in a basement / garage. The V Club makes outstanding drum sounds available to almost anyone !!!
