Disappointing. The td-10 is 8 years old. I cannot believe that they did not come out with much better yet. I've heard that they will present a new system at the NAMM show 2004. Hope to be finally convinced
Sound
It sounds a bit electronic and lake of dynamic for that matter. I had a chance to compare the sound directly with a real set. I could not use the sounds for a professional recording. I would probably scare my clients away for lake of seriousness.
Features
Not enough output. Hard to go straight to preamps, EQ's and compressors to really enhance the sound of each separate drum. Why a sequencer? Why goofy sounds that have nothing to do with drums? Why adding crappy features instead of focusing on sound quality with no compromise?
Quality
The packaging is not important if the unit does not sound right. I do not care about the looks, but I certainly care abbout the realism of the sounds.
Value
Good for amateurs Certainly not for pro recording facilities.
The Wow Factor
I wish.
