Feature:
Anything can be changed to anything..you discover something new every time you play with it
Quality:
Its kinda heavy..the power cable came with a loose fitting..no probs till now..dont know if smthin happens in future..:)No problems till now..and its built truly solid :)
Value:
For its price its not worth..better take a Yamaha S90ES if you're looking for good pianos..also its cheaper ;)..
Desirability:
I'm not much impressed with the piano patch and on the overall performance of the board..besides i cant wait another 2-3 months ordering a ROLAND..so i may go for a Yamaha or Korg
Sound:
as far as the pianos r concerned..its too realistic..not idealistic tho..i guess Motif Pianos had a better idealistic sounding..
Ease of Use:
i never read the manual..and RD 700GX is my first Pro level board..i can do almost what all i wish for now on it :)..jus cant stop playin on it ;)
Support:
I had to wait like 1 month after paying almost half the money, booking and stuff like that..
Overall:
Its an 'ok' type board tats all..nottin SOO SPECIAL about it hehe

Feature:
The only feature I would have liked are the built in speakers which Yamaha provides with the CP300.
I'm still learning all of the GX capabilities, but the initial features which really stand out include:
- ivory-like keyboard (make playing a true joy)
- expanded tones
- multiple outputs
- USB 2.0 interface... (really enjoying this)
- sound tailoring capabilities
Value:
Expensive... but you get what you pay for.
Sound:
I recently upgrade from a RD-700 (which I expanded with the SRX-03, SRX-11 cards). I'll write the following review in layman's terms...rather than using the fancy industry terms like "escapement, polyphony, switching velocity...etc.). Secondly, I don't consider myself a keyboard aficionado in comparison to those who play keyboard for a living... however I believe I have reasonably distinguishing sense of sound quality.
While the RD-700 was & is a great stage piano, the RD-700GX takes the sound quality to a whole new dimension. I've played the GX through both my PA system & my Yamaha/Klipsh home entertainment system. The sound quality on the grands & EP's is simply stunning. Playing it through my home entertainment system with stereo 5-1 turned gives it an amphitheater like sound. It sounds like you have a grand piano right in the room with you.
With the GX,.. you now have more sound design capabilities.
In comparison to the RD-700, the RD-700GX sound quality (realism), sustain, and tailoring capabilities make the RD-700GX a great investment for both studio and live performance. The GX sound engine produces very realistic sound samples. The electronic pianos are very nice as well.
While I used two SRX expansion cards in my RD700... I have no near term intentions of buying any SRX cards for the GX... for my applications... they're not needed with the GX's base capabilities.

Overall:
Ok... After buying/selling almost 10 guitars,... I recently purchased my Martin D-41 Special guitar... (done buying acoustic guitars)..... and now after buying the RD-700GX.... I'm done buying keyboards... (I've found the one I've always wanted).
