The Roland GC-1 GK-Ready Stratocaster is like an electric guitar that time travelers have delivered us from the future. It's your standard Fender Strat with three single-coil pickups -- plus a hexaphonic divided pickup designed for controlling synthesizers and other MIDI devices. This MIDI pickup has a 13-pin output that feeds Roland guitar processors like the GR-55. Got a Roland guitar synth? This futuristic axe is its perfect partner.

Fender's Next GK-Ready Strat

Fender and Roland have a time-honored tradition of synth-enabled guitars, thanks to their collaborative line of GK-ready Stratocasters. These instruments combine the industry-standard Fender Stratocaster with Roland's innovative hexaphonic GK pickup. That hexaphonic, or divided, GK pickup can track each string separately (and independently of the single-coil pickups) so you can control a different synth or MIDI device with each guitar string, while overlaying normal guitar sounds.

The Best of Both Worlds

With the GC-1, you really do get the best of both worlds: a Fender Stratocaster that sounds and feels like a Strat should, and a MIDI-capable instrument that can control virtually any synth you like! Connect a Boss GP-10 to mix in professional guitar effects and analog synth sounds simultaneously. Connect a Roland GR-55 and control real analog synth effects with the low strings while strumming guitar chords on the high strings. Bridge to your favorite MIDI-enabled synth or a soft synth on your laptop and read more control it directly from the Strat too. What can't you do with this cool axe?
