The CDX-1 DiscLab is a totally new type of flexible audio workstation: part digital multi-track recorder, part phrase sampler, part CD burner. Its innovative design lets you sample and sequence loops, record multi-track performances, or use both methods simultaneously. Then just add effects, and burn it all to recordable CDs. There's never been a quicker or more convenient way to get your music to CD.

I love the on-board effects and find them to be quite simple to use. I do wish the unit had the option of recording to a hard drive. The machine is also a bit slow at locating on the CD-RW.

Great quality and durability. The stainless steel front plate tarnishes easily, but who cares?
Value:
This product is the best value for the money I have ever seen.
Desirability:
I was intrigued by the magazine articles I had read about the product so I yearned for a year and then my wife surprised me with one! I talked my buddy into buying one too and he says it's the best investment he has ever made!
Sound:
I've read some of the poor reviews on this page. Seems that there are a lot of unhappy folks out there that probably just don't know what they are doing. This is a great machine, you just need patience. I use Memorex High Speed CD-RW's and they work great. They are sold at Circuit City. It's possible that they are attempting to use normal CD-RW's. If you really get into the EQ's you can get some great sound. Be sure to EQ your effects in the "EDIT" section too!

i bought mine for 400 used and i would spend 1000 with out blinking on it

i love it!...although multi tracking is a pain in the ass!
