Rode NT2000 Variable Dual Diaphragm Condenser Microphone

With continuously variable pad, filter and polar response, the Rode NT2000 condenser mic is incredibly versatile, yet retains the character of a vintage mic.

The RODE NT2000 is the brainchild from Australian master microphone designer Peter Freedman. Never before has this much control and versatility been available in a superlative class large capsule recording microphone.

Features:

- Continuously variable polar response
- Continuously variable filter
- Continuously variable pad
- Superlative class condenser microphone

The heart of the NT2000 is the Australian designed and manufactured TYPE HF1 dual diaphragm capsule. The frequency and transient response of this transducer has been voiced to complement today's modern recording techniques, and yet still evoke the silky smooth character of the legendary microphones of the 50's and 60's. Everything RODE has learned over the years, every comment from industry leaders, has been taken into consideration when selecting the tonal character of this microphone. The NT2000 includes a shock mount.

"Rode NT2000 Will Go In The Books As "A Classic""

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Lost or stolen I would get another one. But being a musician I'm always looking for other sounds. The thing I like most about it is it's ability to make your music sound ( comfortable to the ears ). Warm sounding on any kind of music. Has a tube type of quality to it.

Sound
If you plan on having a microphone that you can use for instruments and vocal, this is all you need. Throw away or sell all your other mics to get this one. This makes bad voices sound good and good voices sound great and great voices sound greater. The warmth of this microphone is what drives me to write a review on it. And the ability to tweak it to fit your own personal voice brings it to another level. Straight up. Many microphones are over rated by under rated ears. But to the trained ear who knows a good mic when they hear one. Let me just say that this mic has what it takes to be among the greats. It pics up a pindrop from across the room ( remember it's a studio mic ). If you want to a professional recording, this mic will help you on your way. And I guarantee it will remain with you whenever and wherever you go or stay to record your music.

Features
Came with a very large durable case and nice shockmount and manual. But haven't used the case since I pulled it out and hooked it up.

Ease of Use
Plug it in and go. You might want to take a moment to learn the curves and bends of your sound. Or just tweak the read more mic as you play into it or sing. Easy

Quality
It's a Rode..

Value
I would personally put this mic in the $1,500-2,700 range

Manufacturer Support
Haven't had to deal with company. Never had any tech issues with it.

The Wow Factor
Cool design. Looks sharp with it's color and curves. It's got a lot of weight, and is very smooth to the touch. I'd recommend using a mic stand with it. It stands alone in the vocal booth and looks like a million dollars.
