Give the sound engineer a break with this momentary/latching microphone muting switch. Great for broadcast -- or anytime your mic lacks an on/off switch.

The Rolls MS111 is a general purpose muting switch for microphones and will pass phantom power. It is configurable to be Push to Mute, Release to Mute, Push ON and Push OFF maintained contact. It is the result of many requests for variations of the popular MM11 that is push to mute only. The MS111 is configured by a switch accessed on the side that will reverse the action in momentary mode and by moving a wire on the main switch to the side for momentary. Or the center for maintained action. If a particular configuration is desired they may be ordered that way from the factory. Otherwise button down latching is the default from the factory.

I use this switch to kill the signal from my headset mic, and it sits on the floor directly to the left of my hi-hat stand. It's a quality product; built like a tank. Only problem is, on a dark stage, it's hard to tell if the switch is engaged, because the button isn't tactile enough to be felt through the sole of my shoe. My only alternative is to quietly check my headset mic, but no one wants to hear endless "check, check" all night. How about a light that tells the user when the switch is engaged/disengaged? I doubt it's would add a whole lot to the cost. Otherwise - I'm still happy with my purchase. I have no other issues with its performance.
