This my second review of this amp, that I purchase here from Zzounds. I've had the amp now for a few months and put a lot of hours on it. I have giged with it a few times. I must say it still is awesome, I am retired and one of my biggest pleasure's, is to get a cup of coffee and my Fender American Special Tele. And then go slip in my music room by myself and play that amp. The Fenderish clean sound is awesome, I hate using the word Fender cause it has its own sound, but I use it as a reference I guess. The reverb is warm and very lush, you can almost taste it earcandy I call it. The dirty channel if you must call, know matter how much dirt you add. It seems to stay very musical not mushy or muddy. Some say Marshall like, me myself I say sort of Hiwatt like maybe. I had an old Hiwatt 212 Bulldog maybe its been years ago, it brings it to mind when I play my Clubster on the dirty channel. I have been playing guitar 50 years maybe and I am 63 now. I have own many many amps 90% tube amps. And the Rivera Clubster Royale is the most awesome amp I have ever own.And will cover many styles of music and do it well. Oh did I mention I bought my Fender American Special Telecaster from zZounds also. Another story in itself awesome guitar. I don't work for zZounds and they don't pay me. But I am old school and in a day when everyone is on a witch hunt, I like to give credit to good people. If it wasn't for zZound me being retired, I woundn't have the nice equipment I have. I have paid cash read more for some and done the payment plan on other equipment. Everything you get from zZounds rather on the payment plan or cash is top quality premium equipment. That you can sit on a stage at a gig trust and not be worried or ashamed of. The integrity of the people the staff I have talk with, have been Honest and compassionate in helping me. A wonderful place to go and buy top notch up to date equipment from a knowledgeable staff. And most of the time its at my door in know time, they are quick. If your buying from somewhere else, do yourself a favor check these guys out first know wait check them out last before you buy you will see. have a good day.
