The Clear Pinstripe head is characterized by it's quick decay and "fat" tone and is perfect for fans of low pitched sound with moderate attack and response characteristics.

Remo's popular PinStripe heads are made from two plies of Remo clear film and bonded at the collar to dampen both high overtones and overall resonance. The result is a very focused, low pitched sound with moderate attack and response characteristics that is ideal for creating a deeper, fatter, controlled drum sound in a variety of studio and live drumming situations. PinStripe heads are available in classic Clear as well as Coated, for an even more controlled sound and brush surface.

"Remo Clear Pinstripe Kick Head"
Sound: The pinstripe is an old school sound for the bass drum. It is really midrangey and attackey. It is slightly more open than a powerstroke 3 and has less low end. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a 70's or 80's type sound on their bass drum. Combined with an ebony powerstroke 3 on the front it is a great bass drum sound. Ease of Use: It is a little harder to tune than the powerstroke 3
