About This Product!
Description
Re'an patchbays are professional bays, made in England, to exacting specs. This patchbay provides 48 points in a single rack space. This bay can be used in normalized, 1/2 normalized and non-normalized configurations (shipped in the normalled/1/2 normalized configuration). Each channel (vertical pair) can be de-normalized by simply flipping the pc card 180 degrees. The connectors are 1/4 in. TRS, so it handles both balanced and unbalanced signals. Re'an uses quality components designed for long life. The jacks are formulated nylon and fiberglass composite and rated for 10,000 insertions.

Re'an RPM48S 48-Point Balanced Patchbay Reviews

"Steer Clear of This POS"
Feature:
It has all the features that a patch panel needs to have. You can use each pair normalled, half-normalled, or completely isolated.

Quality:
The PCBs are mounted to the case with plastic nuts which do not get tight enough to reliably hold them in place. They constantly work loose and it is extremely annoying, especially since the case has no bottom to it which allows the PCBs to tilt downward once they do get loose. The jacks themselves are also plastic.

Value:
There are far better units available at comparable prices.

Sound:
It seems transparent enough that I don't notice it's in the signal path.

Support:
Never used it.

Overall:
I hate this thing. I finally got fed up with the PCBs constantly coming loose and the generallly poor craftsmanship of it and bought a Behringer UltraPatch Pro which is ten times better than this Re'an.
