The Randall RG13 Distortion Guitar Effects Pedal and Amplifier is an incredibly versatile and useful piece of gear that will make a great addition to any pedalboard, effects rack, studio setup or live rig. The RG13 has a built in 1 watt amplifier that can power virtually any cab, even a 4x12! Randall also designed it to be used as a high quality distortion/boost pedal in front of your amp to give you 3 channels of high quality gain in one pedal. Or plug the RG13 into the FX return of any amplifier -- this pedal could be your "secret weapon" for dealing with the venue's second-rate backline amp.

Randall has also outfitted it with a XLR speaker emulated output which is great for recording or sending signal to the PA/Front of House. The loop is switchable with a level control and can switch to be an output level boost/cut to control your level in the mix. All of this in a heavy duty metal enclosure with external power supply and external 9v power for pedals right on the unit. The RG13 pedal is a great addition to any guitar rig!

The RG13 is such a well thought out and useful little amp! I have 8 other amps including a 200 watt Randall head, so I didn't exactly need another amp, but I liked the idea of the Randall sound in a nice light package. The amp sounds great. It has a really nice layout with enough control over the sound to get a variety of tones from it. When I say variety... I don't think a jazz/blues player would be very happy with it. It's more of a rock and metal amp. I prefer a classic "scooped" metal sound and it's easy to dial that kind of sound in. I've run it into a 4x12 and a single 12 cabinet and it sounded great through both. The Aux In is really nice to have. Plug in an iPod and jam away! I haven't tried using the line out into another amp yet. I'm sure it would sound pretty good. On its own it has plenty of punch. 1 watt is so much louder than you'd think! Not only does it have decent volume, but it has plenty of bottom end. It seems well built. The quality is there, the price is right, what's not to like!! (ok, I wish it had reverb, but for the money I'm not complaining at all)
