Power meets portability in this industry-favorite active loudspeaker. Utilizing smart DSP, the efficient QSC K10 delivers 1000 watts of room-filling sound.

Extremely compact, yet surprisingly powerful, QSC K10 speakers push out 1000 watts of continuous power via a Class D bi-amped design. The mid-sized option in QSC's overwhelmingly popular K Series of powered loudspeakers, K10s delivers bass frequencies down to 60 Hz with a maximum SPL of 129 dB. With a pair of self-powered QSC K10s, each weighing only 32 pounds, you've got a killer portable PA system.

Check out our exclusive demo of the QSC K10 2-Way Powered Speaker:

Top-Notch PA Speakers for Small-to-Mid-Sized Venues

Even sound dispersion over a 90-degree area means your K10s can be closer to the audience without leaving out folks on the sides -- making them excellent PA mains for small-to-mid-sized venues. And like the larger K12, the K10's enclosure has one angled back corner, so it's easy to set up as a floor monitor. At just over 20 inches tall, K10s are an excellent choice for houses of worship, or other formal venues where your PA speakers need to fill the room without disrupting the aesthetics of the space. There's even a switch to turn off the front-panel power LEDs, when a bright blue light doesn't match your venue. All told, K10 loudspeakers deliver the uncompromising build quality, professional looks, and consistent room coverage of QSC's high-end KW-series boxes -- all in a extremely compact and portable footprint.

Typical Speaker Dispersion vs. the QSC K-Series

To understand how QSC's K family of PA speakers disperse sound so well, consider a basic acoustic principle: higher frequencies are more directional than lower frequencies. Woofer cones naturally disperse bass frequencies over a wider area, with narrower coverage as frequency increases up to the system's crossover point, where the tweeter takes over. This means that critical midrange frequencies -- where speech, vocals, and instrumental solos "live and die" within a mix -- can end up at a typical 2-way system's point of narrowest dispersion, compromising the midrange to anyone listening from more than 25-30 degrees to one side of the speaker's center. To counter this, the K10 employs Directivity Matched Transition (DMT), matching the high-frequency coverage angle of the tweeter to the natural coverage angle of the woofer at the crossover frequency. In plain English, DMT means that these speakers deliver even coverage of all frequencies throughout the QSC K10's 90-degree pattern. In effect, DMT gives you a two-way speaker that delivers the kind of consistent midrange you might expect from a much bulkier 3-way box.

Conical Tweeter + Intrinsic Correction = Better Coverage

It's easy to see just from looking at the face of the K10 speaker that QSC takes consistent audience coverage seriously. While typical tweeter horns are much wider than they are tall, the K10's tweeter waveguide has a conical, symmetrical mouth approximately the same diameter as the speaker's woofer, so it can control the pattern all the way down to the crossover frequency. It all adds up to a consistent frequency response in the critical midrange. Furthermore, the K10 is designed with Intrinsic Correction, a process developed for QSC's high-end line array systems. QSC engineers took extensive measurements of the K10's characteristics across a wide spatial field, averaged these measurements, and applied a series of filters to the speaker's built-in DSP engine to adjust time, frequency and amplitude response. The result is a speaker that distributes highs, mids, and lows evenly across the speaker's entire 90-degree pattern, with flat power response, eliminating "hot spots" in your audience.

Multiple Input Jacks: XLR, 1/4", and RCA

Just take a look at the QSC K10's back panel to see how versatile this speaker can be. Dual combination XLR-1/4" jacks accept line-level or microphone-level signals controlled by individual gain knobs, while a stereo pair of RCA inputs allow you to connect a CD player, MP3 player, or any device with RCA outs. In fact, you can connect up to three sources directly to the K10, mixing and summing them within the speaker. There are individual line-out XLR jacks for channels A and B, ideal for daisy-chaining a pair of K10 boxes as stage monitors or in a cluster. Plus, there's a post-gain mono-summed "mix out" line out that's ideal for connecting to an external subwoofer such as QSC's KSub. Last but not least, QSC has included their ingenious locking power cable with the K10. The V-LOCK power cord latches with a click, preventing these powered speakers from being unintentionally unplugged -- and just in case your K10's cables go missing, standard IEC power cables fit equally well.

Tilt-Direct Mounting System for Precise Aiming

You'd expect any pro PA speaker to have a pole-mounting cup, but the K10 takes things a step further with QSC's Tilt-Direct pole-mount socket. When mounting your K10 on a high wall mount or speaker stand, this ingenious socket lets you safely angle the speakers down at a 7.5-degree angle, so you can focus acoustic energy on the audience -- and away from walls, ceilings, or the front of the balcony. It's part of what makes the K10 great for portable PAs that need to work in a variety of venues. Furthermore, the K10's trapezoidal enclosure has one cleverly angled side, so it works equally well as a stage monitor wedge. Plus, the K10's integrated M10 suspension points allow for suspended installations with QSC's K-Series accessories.

Onboard EQ and Limiting: DEEP Mode + Vocal Boost

Underneath its unassuming rugged ABS enclosure, the QSC K10 is one of the smartest loudspeakers around, packed with high-tech signal processing to get the most out of its 1,000 watts. Simply set the DEEP switch on the back of the speaker to activate DEEP mode: Digital Extension and Excursion Processing. This sophisticated peak limiter detects and corrects any brief bass transients that could cause clipping distortion and over-excursion of the K10's woofer -- and it increases the average output of low frequencies, helping your K10s to rock the house. Plugging in an external sub for that DJ set? Flip your K10s' back-panel switches to External Sub to engage a 100 Hz high-pass filter, and put your 1,000 watts to good use pumping out those crisp highs and mids. For speech applications or strict vocal reinforcement, simply turn off DEEP mode and engage the Vocal Boost switch for added presence in the critical midrange.

Your PA speakers are the link between the performance and the audience. With industry-leading consistent coverage over the entire listening area, QSC K10 speakers are an excellent choice for small-to-mid-sized venues that require uncompromising sound. Whether you're outfitting a mobile PA system, or building a sound reinforcement installation, the QSC K10 loudspeakers deliver unbeatable performance in a low-profile package.

QSC K10 2-Way Active Loudspeaker

The QSC K Series is quite simply the standard in lightweight powered loudspeaker systems. Under the direction of Pat Quilter, QSC's team of amplifier engineers have created a standard in Class D power modules unparalleled in the industry. Next, breaking from the traditional loudspeaker paradigm, every model is fitted with the identical 1.75 inch HF device (fullrange models) and woofers of the same high quality for unparalleled performance, regardless of speaker size.

Extensive DSP processing is employed throughout, providing levels of sonic clarity and total output that defy the system's size and weight.

Premium-grade materials, advanced construction processes and multiple mounting and suspension options allow for a wide range of live and installed applications.

Combo XLR and 1/4 inch TRS inputs accept both Mic and Line Level input while a set of RCA phono inputs (except KSub) allow additional connectivity to portable MP3 players, CD players and line-level mixers. Up to three audio sources can be mixed internally and summed to a balanced output for "daisy-chaining" of multiple units. Separate direct outputs are also provided on each channel for additional output flexibility.

On-board switches provide preset EQ settings. The HF setting (fullrange models) can be set to VOCAL BOOST for additional presence in the critical mid-frequency area or FLAT for accurate reproduction of the incoming signal. The LF switch can be set to NORM, DEEP(TM) for additional bass extension, or EXT SUB (fullrange models) for use with an external subwoofer. The rear panel LED switch can be set to POWER, illuminating the front-mounted LED when the unit is powered on, OFF for applications where it is not desirable to illuminate the front LED, or LIMIT which indicates to the system operator that the clip limiter circuit has been engaged during operation.

The K Series fullrange models feature a unique Tilt-Direct(TM) pole cup mounting system. A simple turn of the dial engages a 7.5 degree downward tilt of the speaker allowing acoustic energy to be kept on the audience and off reflective surfaces for applications where maximum coverage from a high-positioned speaker is desired. Integrated M10 suspension points allow for suspended applications with a K SERIES M10 KIT (sold separately) or Yoke bracket (sold separately).

Remote gain control capability is offered via a potentiometer (not included) connected to the on-board Euroblock connector. In an installed application, multiple K Series speakers can be "daisy-chained" for total gain control from a single remote pot. Auto-standby mode is engaged after 5 minutes of inactivity.

The QSC K10 powered PA speaker is housed in a rugged ABS enclosure with a professional appearance that is at home in any application. ABS is a far more robust material than conventional speaker plastics and offers an additional measure of sonic clarity due to its internal rigidity. Ergonomic aluminum handles and a highly protective steel grille complete the package for ease of transport and long term durability.

Extensive DSP

DMT (Directivity Matched Transition) provides for matched LF and HF coverage across the entire listening area, eliminating unnatural dead or hot frequency zones

Intrinsic Correction, first featured in our high-end line-array products maps 65-75 spacially-averaged measurements to IIR and FIR filters that actively adjust time, frequency and amplitude response to a maximally flat bandpass target. The result is a speaker that behaves equally well across the entire sound field

DEEP and excursion limiting allow for extended low-frequency response by actively managing low-frequency transients without degradation of the underlying signal or adjacent frequencies

GuardRail protection, first introduced on our GX Series amplifiers protects both the amplifier module and your performance from unnatural and destructive clipping

Connectors

The QSC K10 features balanced female XLR and 1/4 inch line/mic level input, balanced female XLR and 1/4 inch line level input, dual balanced male XLR full range line level out, balanced male XLR mix out, stereo RCA line level input, remote gain control and locking IEC power connector.

Unless QSC outdoes themselves ...these are my speakers for a long long time
Sound
I perform mostly as a solo, playing acoustic and electric guitars, as well as mandolin, banjo, dobro, lap steel and hand percussion. I also make live loops. As a looper and slide player it is imperative that I can hear myself clearly. The QSC K series speakers do exactly that for me ... clean clear crisp sound with a bottom end presence to vibrate the floor beneath me. I have played small venues with just one K8, adding a K8, K10, K12, or K sub for larger or outdoor venues or with my band as needed. I carry all my own gear myself, so the size and weight were also a factor. The K series from QSC is simply the perfect blend of clean, clear, crisp, powerful, small and light.
