Manufacturer's Description for QSC HPR181W Powered Subwoofer (1x18 in.)

For high-level dance music or reinforcement of bass instruments and kick drum, an HPR series subwoofer will add low-frequency extension and power to any sound system. The HPR181W single 18 in. subwoofer offers truly impressive low frequency extension and output. A 4 in. voice-coil driver and a 700 watt power module work to produce 134 dB SPL peak, at 1 meter with frequency response down to 39 Hz. The HPR181W also includes a top-mounted 35mm pole socket and heavy-duty 3 in. casters to facilitate load-in and load-out.

Sound: Talk about THUMP. You need to move a LOT OF AIR to get a good thump going outdoors. We played outside (in the parking lot)for a rally at a motorcycle dealership this past weekend. These subs were shaking the building from 150 feet away!!! Feature: Inputs, outputs, gain control. What more do you need in a powered sub??? Ease of Use: Plug it in and play. Couldn't be easier. Quality: The only issue I have is that the black finish scratches pretty easily. They need a more durable covering. Value: Good value!! If you bought separate cabs and amps (of like quality), you would end up spending more. Manufacturer Support: They're QSC.....what else do you need to know??? The Wow Factor: I have them!! Overall: If these subs were stolen, I would definitely replace them with the same!!

"Holy *$#% this thing rocks"

Sound: These things rock the house! The bass really thunders even with music that has alot of it. Two of these could easily play for a crowd of 200-400. Ease of Use: Plug and Play. Quality: The finish scratches easily but touch-up paint fixes that. The Wow Factor: I want two more. Ialready have 2.
