Featuring the classic 2002 Bronze alloy, the Paiste 2002 Sound Edge hi-hats are for all players how need energy and drive and want their cymbals to cut through music in all settings. Originally developed for drummers competing with electronic amplifiers in the 1960's, the Paiste 2002 Series cymbals still deliver warm, brilliant, and musical tones while still being precise with high energy levels, allowing unsurpassed projection.

The bottom hat serves its purpose, allowing air to pass thru and it really adds to some nice clean stick response when tight.
Quality:
I have always appreciated Paiste and there upper level (and over-all line for that matter) product quality. These are no exception and in my humble opinion rate at the top of the class.
Value:
As I stated earlier, not a cheap set but worth every penny!

Paiste is always COOL!

I had heard these hats before and I really liked them...but after buying them and using them in live situations...AWESOME! Definate crispy sound I've been looking for. Perfect open wash, great sustain that cuts the mix. These are great 'pro' hats that have a very distinct sound. The old 'Bonham' comparison is true but these are extremely versatile. Pricey, but anything this good usually is. You cannot go wrong with these hats!

Should last forever with proper maint. I don't abuse my equipment...can't afford to!
