All eight preamps include variable trim control, 48V phantom power, ultra-fast acting LED metering and 20 dB pad. In addition, 2 instrument inputs are located on the front panel for direct Hi-Z instrument input. Balanced TRS direct analog outputs are located on the rear panel for routing and flexibility. The DigiMAX LT is essential to the modern digital studio. Eight channels of pristine mic preamplification, inserts on every channel, and an internal power supply set this unit apart from anything on the market. Each channel features the award-winning, high performance, dual servo microphone preamplifiers with 48V phantom power, and -20dB pad. Each channel features a Neutrik connector that accepts line level or microphone input. DigiMAX LT digital synchronization is achieved by offering word clock in and out via BNC connectors. The sample rate can be set on the front panel to 48K, 44.1K, and 32K providing compatibility across multiple platforms.
The DigiMAX LT provides TRS inserts on every channel to allow external dynamics processors or equalizers to be placed in the signal chain. The DigiMAX LT is the perfect partner for recording systems such as DigiDesign 001, MOTU 2408 as well as numerous digital mixers and hard disk recorders.

I have only used it for recording purposes it allows me to record 16 channels at a time into pro tools using my digi 002. Must say sounds great and gets the job done flawlessly. One quirk though the digi max lt must be turned on firs prior to the digi 002 or the computer in order to be recognized and not get digital pops and clicks in your recordings.
Quality:
The product has been reliable, it's look is rather sleek. It looks cool in my rack.

For the price it can't be beat
