Feature:
Other then no 1/4 inch outs im very pleased with the features, but I do think that the headphone jack is in a terrible spot. It should be mounted on the front like someone previously mentioned.
Quality:
In my opinion the 500 had better quality, the faders just dont seem to be as durable as the faders used on the 500. The crossfader is also horrible. I like the fact that you can easily replace all the channel faders by simply removing a few screws, same way you would replace the cross fader.
Value:
I think the price should be a little cheaper considering that they no longer make the 500. But what can you do.
Desirability:
This mixer is the bomb, I wanted it bad. But i must admit, Id rather have an Allen & Heath.
Sound:
The sound quality is pretty good, no complaints
Ease of Use:
The layout of this mixer and the 500 are the best I've ever played on, the only better mixer I can think of would be the Allen & Heath.
Support:
I havent had 2 use their customer service. But I heard it takes forever 2 get anything repaired.
Overall:
I plan on using this for a long time.

Feature:
From the Faders to the Knobs to the Connections on the Back, this mixer has everything to ensure a perfect set up. The effect unit sounds great, if you know how to use it. The BPM counter helps when determining different styles of music. And one really important feature left out on many mixers: volume indicators for each channel, a definite must. My only 2 gripes are the missing kill switches, and no Input Matrix.
Quality:
After using this mixer for 3 years, it is still in 100% working condition, definitely built to last. Faders are smooth and the knobs are responsive. Even though I don't scratch, people that have used this mixer for scratching were always surprised at how well it handles.
Value:
I bought this mixer for a grand (in dollars), back in the day, and I'd still say it was worth it. Currently there are a lot of comparable but cheaper mixers available (TASCAM, DENON, ECLER, NUMARK), but I highly doubt they are as easy to use, and reliable as the DJM.
Desirability:
I have the silver model, and it looks perfect next to my silver Technics. The overall feel of the mixer is also spot on, nothing feels cheap. A lot of my friends are jealous of me having this mixer, and are really considering buying one themselves.
Sound:
No matter if at home or at a party, this mixer has never disappointed me. I know there are a lot of people out there saying that this mixer doesn't deserve to be the industry standard, but for my needs as a Drum and Bass DJ, this Mixer delivers.
