Dial in the perfect British or American tone with the Vari-Class control, and then pump into anywhere with the MSDI XLR direct interface or USB output.

In addition to all the boutique qualities and hot-rodded tones that guitarists have come to expect from the Peavey ValveKing series, the next generation line incorporates cutting-edge features for recording and performing musicians. For the recording musician, the ValveKing features a USB direct recording output, which pipes the mic'ed amp vibe directly into a computer. On the rear panel, the built-in Peavey MSDI (Microphone Simulated Direct Interface) XLR direct interface eliminates the need for miking by allowing users to send the amp's signal directly to a recording device or mixing console.

This is a great small amp! Very versatile! It can do nice cleans to nice high gain without getting muddy! has three ruby 12AX7 preamp tubes and two EL84 power tubes to deliver 20 watts, switchable down to 5 watts or even 1 watt. Amp is loud enough to play a small gig or practice. I have power a marshall half stack no problem, rich full sounding like it would with a full size 50 or 100 watt head. Coll feature called Vari-Class can shift the power tubes from Class A operation to Class AB and dose make a good difference in tone like American to British tones Has two leds to monitor the power tubes on the front. they are green when things are working great and will turn red if you need to replace a power tube. much better to have the leds on the front instead of the back like some amps have it. Has footswitchable effects loop and an MSDI (Mic Simulated Direct Interface) XLR jack for the output -- with mic and speaker emulation -- to a live sound console or a recorder. There's a switch for turning off the speaker for silent recording. There's also a USB output that can likewise deliver a mic-/speaker-emulated signal straight into your computer DAW. I have many amps bought and sold over the years, this little amp is great among my favorite small wattage amps out there. Can do Clapton to slayer!
