I used to own a really nice new yet used Line 6 Flextone II XL. It came with tons of really usable tones like a Soldano SLO 100 and the Mesa Double Rec. I found the Line 6 Tones extremely versatile. But after owning it for a year, I started to realize I needed true tube power both live and in the studio to record my albums. Well long story short. I played the 6505+ with a Randall 4*12 Cabinet that had Greenbacks. It was average. I felt that the cleans weren't great. I surfed the net and heard a number of really good videos of the Peavey Valve King. Each one had great saturation, and pefect cleans. I recieved mine two weeks ago and was blown away. This amp will not disappoint shredders, power chord players, jazz musicians, pop musicians and many more. The cleans are very similar if not exact to Fender Twin Reverb. They are pristine, sparkly, and are so touch sensitive that single notes are bright, chords are clean and flow perfectly. On to the distortion. The Valve King distortion is the best in the music inudstry. If you want 80's metal shred this thing has so much distortion, you'll never want to stop playing this amp. The power chords are the best sounding in rock today. I played the Marshall DSL 100H and hated it. I also played the JCM 800 and 900 and they were lack luster compared to this extra harmonically rich distortion in this amp. This is your touring amp if you play legit hard rock, power rock, metal, punk. The chords are heavenly. The best part read more is the price. For $599.00 your getting 1970's prices in a new repackaged Peavey Valve King II. There are so many features like FX loop, which is essential for studio delay for your solos that you can't go wrong. An MSDI out to your mixer, line out to studio mix, and more. Buy this amp. You will be amazed.
