Feature:
IF.. you blow your woofers....NO PROBLEM, Just switch the basket and you're up and running again! no... "It will be about a week before I finish re-coning them." YOU CAN BI-AMP!!!! Enough said. Holla Back.
Quality:
Made with quality IN THE UNITED STATES...NOT CHINA!!!!!! Thanks Peavey.
Sound:
If you've been wasting your time & money on two or three letter speaker companies (JBL,EV)think again! I own the 1st generation SP1X's hands down they have outperformed the rest.Other DJ's have asked me "What kind of speakers are you using??" 1ST Generation PEAVEY SP1, PEAVEY SP2 & QW218. I WISH PEAVEY USED THE DUAL SPEAKON INPUTS INSTEAD OF 1/4" HATE THAT!! Otherwise "I SHUT EM DOWN!!
Ease of Use:
No one else is producing this much value and sound for the price. I hope Peavey doesn't turn on us like the price of gas. If you're a DJ you'll have no problems getting every drop of investment from these enclosures. Problem, Questions, I've called Peavey and YOU GET A REAL PERSON ON THE LINE!!!! ONE WHO ACTUALLY KNOWS WHAT YOU MEAN WHEN YOU SAY RMS,BI-AMP,SPL'S,E.T.C..

Feature:
I give it a 9, because I would like to have had two switchable speakons side by side for chaining cabinets with a jumper. Otherwise, I love the switchable speakon plug--one cable to a cabinet instead of two!
Quality:
Strong and light--easy to set up and take down--Saves my back--Thanks Peavey! I've pushed it for high volume--not distortion or vibration or cabinet barking. I think it will last forever.
Value:
Every maker of high quality gear--Peavey, Mackie, McCauley, JBL, etc., have they cheap stuff, mid range gear and concert series speakers. In comparison with the others, you will not find a better speaker series by series for a lower cost that Peavey. I would match the Peavey versary or Q-Wave speakers against anything McCauley or JBL can set up for concert series. The versary sub, for example, will handle more power, sound as good or better than a JBL or McCauley and cost 25-50% less.
Desirability:
Good looking speaker--looks attractive and professional at the same time.
Sound:
I have used this product for a year now and I have to say it is a great sounding mid/hi cabinet which I use in conjunction with my dual 18 inch SP218's. With the right volume level, my customers are "immersed" in sound that surrounds and penetrates them without being over-bearing. I believe good quality sound balanced between the lows, mids and highs, with the right music selection create an atmosphere of dancing enjoyment. This is why I tri-amp my system as opposed to using full range mode.
Ease of Use:
I use an external cross over and external power amp's--old school, I know, but I believe I have more control over the sound quality that way.
Support:
I call if I have a question--I can always reach them. Thanks to the techs, I have learned a lot--to not do something stupid.
Overall:
I will use it forever
