Sound: Awesome! I owned every Line 6 POD that has come out and this destroys them. Everyone is so crazy about the Axe FX and to me, this sounds just as good, if not better. Do not fall for the hype and buy with your ears. Ease of Use: Very easy to use. I own a real 6505+ and the settings are almost the same. Only draw back is that the cab sim (impulses) included suck. In HP you cannot load in your own. So what I do is turn off the cab sim and use a free cab sim named Kefir. From there I upload my own impulse and this program rocks! Value: $69 for this kind of tone? This is major ass kickin' in a box kids! Manufacturer Support: I'll put a 6 here because I never had to contact them. The Wow Factor: I cannot believe such a huge sound can be created with this little program. I have no idea how they do it, but they did! Overall: It has been roughly 20 years I have been playing and recording guitars. This software is music to my ears and metal to my soul. You dont have to mess around with the settings too much to get a killer tone. I actually find myself being able to play again instead of trying to be an engineer to get a half way decent tone.

"It's software"

Value: I'd rather spend the same cash on a cheap condenser mic and then put it in front of a real cab. The Wow Factor: It's software, don't expect to close your eyes and feel like you suddenly have all these tube amps, your entire audio path from guitar to hard-drive is not only SS, but digital. What you get is a bunch of "models" that are basically eq and effects that emulate the characteristics of your chosen amp. Only tubes, output transformers, voltage and current, wood, and speakers with paper cones can actually sound like a nice combo or head/cab stack. Software isn't going to cut it for anything other than a toy. Good for silent practice recordings, just to get an idea of what a song sounds like. A nice writing tool.
