Great bass for small fingers. I re-spaced the bridge to have more space between the strings to help playing technique to make it similar to my other 5 string bass. I play this bass for various reasons. It is light, 34 inch scale, good sound, is just the right size for my fingers. Slapping was difficult with the original spacing configuration. Problems with truss rod vibration. I bought this bass when it first came out. Had to replace each tuning key when they broke. Not good quality keys. It still is my first choice bass, over 2001 Fender Jazz active 5 string American Standard. Although the sound of the Fender bass has an over all better sound. The battery requres changing frequently, as I play a lot. Because of that, I wish they had a quick battery replacement, because the the holes to the battery cover get worn, and the battery wires break. I have had to change the two battery connectors twice since I have had the bass. In spite of maintenance requred on this bass, it is still my favorite because of the 34 inch neck scale. It has a unique sound. The Cirrus bass is nice but not for my fingers. Wish they put better hardware into this instrument. That's why Ibanez is winning in their 34 inch bass scale market because of it's easy to play and less overall Fret buzz. I have been playing bass on stage since I was 15. I'm not almost seventy and still playing out once or twice a week. Nice light bass.
