"Best AMP I'll ever own!"

Feature:
The noise gate is a nice addition to this amp, especially with the gain on 10. I love the fact that each channel can be dialed in to it's own volumn. Then foot switch has quick action with almost no hesitation!

Quality:
I haven't had this amp long enough to know how sturdy it is, but with my past experience with Peavey it should last a long time, and you can't beat the warranty this monster comes with which shows you that they expect it to last! My fellow musicians have said nothing but good remarks from their experience with this amp!

Value:
When looking for my new amp I came to the conclusion that there is NO OTHER amp I would consider. The price is right for a 3 channel amp of this caliber. But the sound is priceless!

Desirability:
The amp looks great! The Chrome face-plate shines and is better looking that the pictures on the internet! The whole amp looks as rugged as it sounds!

Sound:
I have been playing for 25 years. I have played through every amp out there. It doesn't matter if I'm using my Les Paul, Strat, or anything else, this JSX has tone like no other amp in it's class. Tha Bottom end rules the stage, and with the 3 independant volume controls my leads shine thru!

Ease of Use:
This amp is stage ready right from the box. I did not have to play with the controls to dial in "my" sound. The controls are laid out perfectly, and with a few tweeks my sound is set and I don't have to ever touch them again, just hit the foot switch to change channels and let it rip!

Support:
Peavey is one company that stands behind their products and I am positive they will be there if and when I need them to be!

Overall:
I believe I have found my amp that I will use for the rest of my playing life. The sound is the best I have heard. The clarity of the clean channel is flawless and would only be enhanced by any effect of the user's choice! I myself, just use the amp for my tone, with nothing added! This amp dials in MY SOUND!

"love it"

Quality:
this thing is a tank. i took it on tour and it lasted with out a case.. no scratches, dents, broken tubes. anything.

Value:
a little pricey but worth it in the long run.

Desirability:
the chrome is sexy. i must say i took it all off and had the face plate covered in tweed. but either way its hot.

Sound:
to be short and blunt you can make it sound like anything you want. great tone and great clear ch. the od channels just scream to.

Ease of Use:
the head sounds great so its really hard for this amp to sound bad. knobs are straight forward.

Overall:
i really do love this amp and i have played threw a lot of them (different head) before i actually bought this. most amps have there ups and downs but this was just overall a good head.

Peavey and Joe Satriani set out to create an amplifier that would give the widest range of EQ options and gain structures possible.

This amp delivers sounds ranging from the Classic 50 to vintage British to the modern Triple XXX and all tones in-between. The versatile and comprehensive control section supplies a master volume pot and independent volume knobs for each of the 3 channels (ultra, crunch and clean). Tone shaping is accomplished through passive controls for bass, mid and treble on the clean channel, while the ultra and crunch channels utilize active low, mid and high controls. The clean channel is pristine yet warm and is specifically voiced to work well with effects pedals. The ultra and crunch channels have gain controls and fat switches to further assist in taming this thunderous tube-powered beast while achieving killer sound. Global resonance and presence knobs increase control of high-end tones, while a noise gate on the crunch and ultra channels cuts down on the excess noise generated by running the gain and EQ controls on high settings. Since the gate is fully adjustable, you can really clamp down, leave it slightly open or just turn it off.
