Take control with this full-feature Peavey power amp. It incorporates a built-in 32-bit DSP section, 1/4 inch & XLR inputs, and Speakon and banana outputs.

Peavey IPR DSP 1600 Power Amplifier; Built-in 32-bit, floating-point digital signal processing. The IPR DSP models ship with program-specific EQ presets that make common sound-reinforcement EQ treatments easy to perform, as well as delays, crossover and stereo/mono operation with lockable security settings. A front-panel LCD screen allows users to quickly identify and assign presets.

"Good amp, weak feature set, too noisy to use with high sens speakers"

This amp is basically pretty good, I really like the blue lights on it. The basic sound of the amp is very good, clear and punchy. However the noise level is way too high for use with high sensitivity horns. On top of this, the loud hiss is overtaken by a whining noise after the amp is on for a few minutes. You can hear the noise from 10 feet away. I originally thought the first one I bought was defective; sent it back and got a replacement, and it was just as bad.Another issue is the speaker management, while it works well, has a clunky UI and no external computer interface. The feature set of the management function is a bit limited. The Behringer inuke series has a far nicer UI and a USB port.The Peavey does not have a speakon jack with both channels routed to it as most of the other similar amps do. This was a bit of a problem.Yet another issue is the 1/4" speaker jacks had a scratchy noise when plugs were rotated in them. The cables I used were nearly new, so it was not a corrosion issue.Due to these issues, I sent the second amp back. It might have been defective as well as the first, but that is unusual for two to be defective in a row. So check yours out carefully if you decide to buy. Or wait for the Peavey IPR2, that might have the problems taken care of.
