zZounds has verified that this customer bought this product from us. "Great Practice Tool!"
Sound: Well the unit itself doesn't have any sounds, its an interface for your iphone/pad/touch. The amp kit app though, works pretty well. A couple of the add on sims of the Bogner XTC and the Budda sound really good, but I've not really found any of the amp sims to be awful sounding. The reason I gave it an 8 is because it can be noisy. If you're near speakers, LCD type TVs, or close to a power line in your wall, you'll get some noise and feedback. Another thing I noticed is, if you're not using a quality cable, it'll be noisy as well. However, if you're expecting tube like sound and response, you're probably better off with something else. It's a good practice tool, and that's exactly what it was made for. Feature: It's really only limited to what your apple product can do. It can be used with either ampkit or amplitube apps, both of which have their merits. Both apps have built in recorders so you get your ideas down. Ease of Use: Again, this also relates to the apps, not the interface. They're a little clunky at times, but nothing too bad. The interface itself is pretty easy to use. 3 connections and you're up and running. Quality: The interface is a little flimsy. I don't think it will take much abuse, but it's a small plastic box made for quiet practicing, not to take on stage. Value: The base unit is cheap and both apps that it can be used with come with some standard stuff. If you really want a selection, you have to buy add on amps, effects, mics, etc...which are kind of expensive and can add up really quick. If you buy them all, you're back into the smaller Line6 Pod price range. If you're going to buy the add on content, buy the packs they offer. It's cheaper in the long run. Manufacturer Support: Never had to use them really. I sent 1 email about an amp sim and they answered in less than 24 hours. Overall: Overall, it is what it is, a small inexpensive practice tool. It works just fine for that purpose.
