Feature:
30mm (1") polystyrene (advertised as styrofoam but that's really an entirely different plastic creature)foam construction with cordura nylon shell. Plush lining interior.
I honestly can't give it a 10 because I think the zipper closures might be a little lightweight for heavy duty use. It's adequate for my needs but I hope Peavey considers putting heavier zippers on these.
Quality:
As stated before, I can't really give this a 10 because I think the zippers are not really suited for heavy duty use. They're heavy enough for occasional gigging like I do. The rest of the construction is first -rate. Stress points are reinforced with metal grommets. The handles are band-stitched across the top/bottom of the case instead of stitching them to the side. This distributes the weight more evenly over a wider area, reducing the stress on the handle.
Value:
When I purchased this unit, I compared it to a foam cases from Gator, Kaces, and Fender in the same price range--this was the best hands down.
Desirability:
This was just a practical addition to my setup.

Support:
Although I have never had to deal with Peavey on this issue, I have used other Peavey products for over 30 years and have never experienced anything less than prompt, courteous service from both the manufacturer and their retailers. Hartley Peavey is a southern gentleman in the truest and best sense of the term and has, from my experience, instilled that trait or selected dealers who exemplify the best of that trait.
Overall:
I expect to be satisfied with this product as long as it works as designed and if it lasts for at least 5 years. If it lasts longer, that will be frosting on the cake as far as I'm concerned.
I purchased this to replace a hardshell case I'd had for seven years and was getting tired of schlepping around. This case, even with my guitar, picks, capo, spare strings, bridge pins, etc., weighs less than my old hardshell case weighs empty. My back and shoulders are already thanking me.
What do I like best? The weight factor combined with the fact that it still seems to provide the same protection as my old hardshell case--at least for my purposes since I'm not gigging every night and tossing it in the back of a van or pickup and tend to baby my instruments since I'm an amateur in the strictest sense of the word and can't afford to buy a new instrument whenever an episode of GAS erupts.
What do I like least? The zipper needs to be more heavy duty.
