From the people who brought you Masterworks and Reference Series comes the Vision Series, with more high-end features than any other drumset in its price range. Vision Series uses the same advanced science as the Reference Series to optimize each component of your kit to respond with perfect articulation in its respective frequency range. This is achieved through the science of 6/8 SST Birch ply shell construction. Rack toms utilize 6 ply shells while floor toms and bass drums are composed of 8 ply shells. A beautifully chrome plated beaded steel SensiTone snare drum is included with each kit, and is complimented with the all new 900 Series hardware, packed with professional features from Pearl’s award winning Advanced Hardware Systems. The Vision Series is Next Level Perfection, for the drummer who can tell the difference.

Pearl’s 60 years of acoustic research has proven that the interior plies of the shell are the key influence to the overall sonic characteristic of the drum. Vision Series exploits this knowledge to the fullest by using two unique shell recipes of Birch and Basswood. Birch offers a resilient tightly bound network of cells that tend to accelerate rebounding sound waves making it perfect where mid to high frequencies are desired. Basswood provides a slightly softer cellulose composition which tends to slow the sound waves thus promoting mid to low frequency response. By adjusting the overall balance of one ingredient to the other allows a fine tuning of frequency response much like our Reference Series.

SST Shell Design
Vision Series offers a sonically advanced recipe of strategically arranged plies of premium wood to maximize frequency response in every component. As with all Pearl drums each shell is formed from Pearl's legendary SST construction process that uses extreme heat, Precision cut scarf joints, their proprietary Acoustiglue and over 1000lbs of hydraulic pressure to create the ultimate acoustic air chamber.

Vision Series feature Pearl's legendary SensiTone snare drums, that have been the choice of discerning drummers for years. As the name implies these drums provide extreme sensitivity combined with amazing tone and clarity due to their 5.5 in. steel shell that projects extreme volume with articulate response for dynamic power and cut.
