I've been a turntablist for almost two decades. In that time I've use Shure 44-7's or 44-g's exclusively, as they were always the "Best" for what I used my turntables for. I decided after seeing so many turntablists using "concorde-style" carts that I'd give them a chance. Holy smokes! These dudes not only track really well under the harshest of cuts, they sound amazing! Gone are the days of my laying a nickel on top of the head shell to get a bit more track! While I'll never get rid of my 44 series carts these new Ortofon's have definitely earned their right to be in my needle rotation!
