Features

- Crafted in the Czech Republic by the makers of the renowned CR Series
- Passive electronics deliver unlimited overhead for ultimate sound without cumbersome batteries
- Solid maple body and neck, together with the graduated ebony fingerboard, deliver a rich, full tone
- Adjustable bridge and truss rod allow for low, fast action

Polar Pickup System

Pizzicato and arco techniques have almost unlimited expressive potential, thanks to the Polar Pickup System. A convenient switch allows selection of the traditional arco mode for percussive attack and dynamic bowed response, or pizzicato mode for a smooth, sustained tone. Equipped with single volume and tone controls, the passive electronics deliver unlimited overhead for ultimate sound without cumbersome batteries.

Construction

The solid maple body and neck, together with the graduated ebony fingerboard, deliver a rich, full tone that rings true for every note. Asymmetrical fingerboard relief facilitates an even 'growl' from the higher strings and a clear, read more powerful lower register. The adjustable bridge and truss rod allow for low, fast action, or for higher string settings that encourage the traditional acoustic player to 'dig in' with gusto.

NS Electric Strings and most traditional acoustic strings fit all NS Double Basses, allowing the player to select from a wide range, each with a unique sound and feel. In combination with the easy adjustment of basic set-up parameters, the NXT Series Bass is adaptable to many different styles of music.

The NXT4 double bass brings world-class design and craftsmanship to a surprisingly affordable price range. With a visual appearance as striking as its sound, the roadworthy NXT4 is an exciting and reliable partner for the most demanding performance career.

Definitely would buy again.
Sound
It sounds great. I've been using it with a Fishman preamp and a Gaellian-Krueger and it responds great and provides a wide variety of sounds. It's marketed as a stand-in for an acoustic instrument, and I think it fits the Bill.
Features
The instrument came with a gig bag and a tripod. The gig bag looks of shoddy construction and feels like it might tear any time now. The tripod is poorly constructed as well. In fact, they don't even sell the same tripod separately, only a more expensive and probably better one. But free is free, so I guess they'll do for now.
Ease of Use
Really simple to play and adjust as needed. Problems in setting up tripod, which took a while at first.
Quality
The instrument itself looks pretty sturdy and is aesthetically pleasing as well.
Value
To get the same kind of sound on an acoustic it would cost many times as much. This is a good stand-in and a great value.
Manufacturer Support
I have not had to contact the company about the product.
The Wow Factor
It's not exactly the coolest, but I'm not complaining.
