Dunlop has once again partnered with Edward Van Halen to present a new spin on a classic tone. Everyone knows that it was the MXR Flanger that powered Unchained and And the Cradle Will Rock. Now you can grab a piece of that world-class tone with the new MXR EVH 117 Flanger. This amazing stompbox features the same bucket-brigade technology that provided the sweeping, whooshing magic of the original. But Dunlop didn't stop there. They've also added the EVH Switch, which instantly calls up Eddie's Unchained sound with the exact same Manual, Speed, Width, and Regeneration settings that he used to get one of the greatest guitar tones of all time. If that's not cool enough, they even painted the EVH Flanger with the rocking striped graphics that started a revolution.

Sound: I wanted a flanger with classic analog sound, like what I grew up with in the late seventies and eighties. I don't like to collect pedals, just like tone and flexability. This one nails it. It's like having 2 effects in one. yeah, a little pricey ('cause EVH needs his cut for the name), but try one out. Bring humbuckers, works great. It's a keeper. Feature: Easy to use, responsive, distinct and usefull controls. Built like a tank. Looks great. 'Nuff said. Ease of Use: Initial 5 minutes of knob-twisting, and you can get what you want out of it from then on. Quality: built like a tank, looks great, very distinctive and tastefully cool. Value: Loses a little on price, but make friends with AM's at your music store like all us old guys have done for years. They'll help you out if you are cool. Manufacturer Support: Another fine Dunlop product. If you can break this brick, you need to settle down and take your meds. The Wow Factor: Looks awesome. I love good stomps, and this is one. It goes on the floor..twist knobs, toe it and play. Done. Overall: Great flanger. buy it to keep. If it was stolen I would buy another without thinking about it. Then I would get some payback...
