It is pretty cheap, but not the best value for the price considering it was made in China.

Features
I bought this to go with some AKG condenser mics. Unfortunately, this unit doesn't open enough to hold the AKG, which is 2" diameter. You have to have a mic with a smaller diameter for it to fit. From what I could guess, 1.75" is ideal and 1.85" is getting really really tight. Many condenser mics are larger than this, so check the specs or measure your mics before you place an order!! I'm going to have to return this, hence the "Don't own it, just (tried to) use it" rating.

Ease of Use
The spring handles that you pinch to fit in thicker microphones are difficult to use - you put some pressure on them and it just hurts your fingers more than it actually widens the cradle. Otherwise it should work as intended once you get it set up.

Quality
It is folded sheetmetal and wires spray-painted black and injection-molded plastic. Nothing fancy. Quality is ok for what you pay - it is meant to be cheap. The elastic cord that suspends the cradle for the microphone had come unhooked during shipping, but it wasn't too difficult to figure out how to re-hook it correctly.

Value
It is an inexpensive item. Then again, when you see it and have it in your hands, you don't really feel like you got a good deal, either. It read more costs about $25 but I think $18-20 should be more fair since it is MADE IN CHINA.

The Wow Factor
It is cheap, and would probably get a quick job done as long as the mic fits. If you want to run a nice recording studio/booth, get something quality built for your specific microphones, even though the shock mounts would cost considerably more.
