I honestly have no idea how I lived without this. You lift the guitar and the jaws open, sit it in the stand, and the jaws close around the neck. Very stable with my heavy Les Paul in it, and it is fully adjustable for height so it will fit anything but a headless. The two front legs are nicely padded so the guitar is protected. Short of someone actually knocking this thing over there is no way it would fall.
