"MG250DFX: great amp at a great price!"

Feature:
for me, the less gadgets the better! Although having the chorus, delay, flange built in is nice and I do use them. I'm glad it came with the pedal to switch from clean to overdrive and the second swith to turn on/off the effects; works great!

Quality:
Quality, so far so good. I play mainly at my house, and occassionally go jam with friend's so I doubt it will get banged up. It is built very sturdy and I'm confident I won't have any problems.

Value:
awesome value! okay, I could spend $800 on a Marshall 100 watt 1 12in speaker AVT, over $1,000+ for an all tube combo, or get this for around $500! After spending two hours playing all the Marshall's at a local store, I decided this sounded awesome and was a great value. Tubes? whatever, unless you have money to burn, which I don't.

Desirability:
It looks great! I've always wanted a Marshall and I'm not disappointed. I like the fact that it's a 2 by 12 cabinet, so it's a little longer and not as boxey looking as 1 by 12 inch speaker cabs.

Sound:
I play an early 70's Les Paul (the paul) which I've had for 20 years (since I was 14!). I play mainly old school metal such as Priest, Maiden, Sabbath but also play some blues and jazz and old surf tunes. The overdrive has great distortion for getting the sound I'm looking for and the clean sounds great, especially for Ventures surf tunes with reverb and a little bit of delay.

Support:
I bought this as B-stock, and it was thoroughly inspected before shipping. I haven't dealt with any support yet.

Overall:
Don't buy this if you're only after clean tones....go buy a Fender. I play mainy metal, and that's why I bought a Marshall. I researched amps for six months before purchasing and for my price range, this was by far the best amp I found for what I was after. Great amp, great value and I very happy with my purchase. Don't let all those tube geeks fool you. You don't need to spend that kind of cash to get a great sound out of an amp. Try one of these and decide for yourself!
