Marshall MG100HFX Guitar Amplifier Head provides more settings and features than ever before! The 100 watt MG100HFX head offers 4 channels; Clean, Crunch, and 2 Overdrive channels. Settings can be saved on these channels and restored on the next power-up without any control adjustment by setting it up in preset mode. The amplifier operates in two modes, Preset and Manual. Preset mode remembers a preset and recalls it on your next startup and manual mode revives your unit to the exact way the controls are set. Versatile, the MG100HFX provides these alternate modes for a variety of different players.

The MG100HFX amplifier head has two external speaker sockets to connect to either 1 or 2 external cabinets. When using external cabinets ensure the total load impedance is equal to, or exceeds, 4 ohms.

Reverb & FX
The MG100HFX amplifier provides three simultaneous effects, Reverb, Delay and one of three Modulation effects (Chorus, Phaser, or Flanger).

Tap Tempo
Use tap tempo to set your delay times as easily as tapping your foot. Tap Tempo switch is used for the Delay effect only.

MP3/Line In
Jam along to your favorite bands or personal recordings by connecting to your MP3 or CD player to this convenient 1/8 inch input jack.

Headphones & Line Out
The Headphone/Line out provides speaker emulation, so you can hear your guitar like its being blasted through powerful speakers or record direct to a source without using a microphone.

Damping
Make it sound like your using 2 completely different amplifiers. When Damping is Off the power amp response resembles the feel of a classic power amp with emphasized middle and limited bass and treble. Switching Damping On will boost the speaker resonances both in the bass and high frequency ranges.

FX Loop
The FX Return socket on the rear panel is used to connect the your favorite external effects pedals or processor. The FX loop is series and set at instrument level so both guitar FX or professional units can be connected. zZounds is an authorized dealer of Marshall products.

Sound: this is a very sweet sounding head. the clean channel has a sweet warm sound through all of my guitars which are, a dean dimebag black bolt ml with a bill lawrence l500xl bridge pickup, a dean dime o flame, a ibanez universe uv7 7string, and a gibson sg standard 61 reissue with a burstbucker pro bridge pickup. a sweet butterie sound.the crunch is very old black sabbath, the first overdrive channel is good but not enough gain, and the second overdrive channel has more bottom end but still should have more gain. the effects(phaser,flanger,chorus)all sound like mxr stomp boxes from the 80s. the delay is good and so easy to use. Feature: for the money probably the most features and a sweet sound. what more could you ask for. Ease of Use: probably the easiest amp ive ever used, and ive been playing 20years. take it out of the box plug it in turn it on, mess with for a few minutes and youll get almost any sound you need. simple footswitch which it also came with. Quality: this amp is built like a tank. seriously i was really happy about how well built this is. excellent fit and finish. Value: really you cant buy this good an amp for less money any where else. Manufacturer Support: by far zzounds.com is simply put, THE BEST MUSICAL INSTRUMENT STORE EVER!!! you guys and gals that work there are the best. i ordered my amp wednesday night at around 10pm with over night mail. it shipped on thursday, and i got it today. all this right before the 4th of july weekend. your service was polite and informative, no matter how many times i called. great service, great price, great quality = zzounds.com The Wow Factor: its a marshall amp. it looks like every other marshall amp. they kind of have a signature look, and sound. most rock stars use marshall, and im sure that people who think rock stars are sexy will find this amp sexy Overall: quality fit and finish, sound, price, support, i couldnt ask for more. i just wish it had a bit more distortion and overdrive if it did its an absolute 10.

Style of Music: my personal music is metal, but i can play anything from classical to jazz to hip hop.
