Martin Classical Acoustic Guitar Strings are available in silverplated copper and bronze windings over durable stranded nylon cores. Crystal nylon trebles deliver a brilliant tone. Strict tolerances in the windings create a smooth feel with exacting response. This listings features a ball end pack which removes the need to tie a knot at the end of the bridge. zZounds is an authorized dealer of Martin products.

Sound: Sounds OK. Feature: Ball end is convenient when restringing. Ease of Use: It's a guitar string, what can you say? Quality: The "D" string breaks after a couple of weeks. This happened with *three* packs of strings! Value: Again, the "D" string breaking after only modest use is unforgivable. Manufacturer Support: Haven't used it. The Wow Factor: Looks like most other sets of classical guitar strings I've seen. Overall: Sorry, I won't be purchasing any more of these strings.

"What's wrong with the D string???"
Sound: The sound is good for me but a little more sad than romantic. Feature: Classical guitars don't need ball ends. Ease of Use: The strings are hard to tune at standard tuning. You can feel the tension easily. Quality: Yes it is true, the "D" string breaks after a couple of weeks. I'm not an aggressive player and never tried to trill the strings with a pick. But what's wrong with the "D" string? It breaks easily in the middle of the fretboard. Value: String life is too short for the price paid. Again the "D" string breaks easily. Manufacturer Support: Never tried customer support. The Wow Factor: I'll never get another pack again. Overall: To save the string life, tune a whole step down.
